Welcome to Vietnam - the Land of the Ascending Dragon. Upon arrival to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), your friendly local guide will greet you at airport and then take you to your hotel to check-in. after breakfast in your hotel, you will be transferred to My Tho. Upon arrival, you will board your cruise ship. We will begin by making our way towards the An Hoa River. Enjoy a welcome drink on deck as you take in the peaceful scenery and listen to a short introduction. We will sail to Phong Nam Village in Giong Trom, where you will take a rowing sampan boat through small, winding canals blossoming with green coconut plants. Next, we will stop at a small house where you can meet a local farmer and taste his tropical produce. You will also have a chance to visit a rice noodle factory in town before returning to the ship for lunch.
Once you have finished your meal, we embark on a bike tour around the village. We will begin by cycling to My Long where you will have a chance to visit and speak with Mr. Sau Tuong, a former Vietcong soldier who survived after two years of fighting the Khmer Rouge in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Now he and his wife make rice paper, a famous specialty of the My Long village. Have a taste of his crispy rice paper and watch how it is produced. Continue on to visit a nearby house of a famous stick rice maker in the village. Feed his catfish and explore his lush garden before returning to your Vietnam Cruise.We will now set sail to the Mo Cay district on the Ham Luong River. Admire the majestic sunset as we arrive at the Vam Nuoc Trong canals in the early evening. Relax and enjoy your cooking demonstration and dinner on board. The boat will drop its anchor here and you will spend the night in our floating hotel on the Mekong Delta.
After breakfast, we will explore the Mo Cay Wet market. We will then attend a coconut pressing workshop where you will be able to see how every part of a coconut is utilized by the locals. Next, we will continue our biking trip by cycling along the canals to Thom Market where you will be able to further discover the lifestyle of the local people. Stop for a visit at the sugar factory to see how locals traditionally produce sugar from sugar canes.Lastly, return to the cruise to gather your belongings and prepare for your onward journey back to Saigon.
This morning is a chance to relax at your hotel or go and pick up a few last minute souvenirs, before your tour guide takes you to the airport for your short flight to Nha Trang, known for its beautiful sandy beaches.Upon arrival, your local guide will take you to your hotel to check-in. The rest of the day yours to relax or go and check out some of the beaches.Overnight in Nha Trang.
Time for a bit of rest and relaxation. Today is yours to enjoy the sunshine, take a dip in the ocean and explore the town.Overnight in Nha Trang.
Spent a few hours in Nha Trang in the morning, before your guide takes you to the airport for your flight to Da Nang, Hoi An. You can relax until the evening, when you will be able to enjoy a cultural treat – a famous Water Puppet Show at the theatre.Overnight in Hoi An.
After breakfast, you'll start your day with a look around Ancient Hoi An Town, where you can see one of Hoi An's most iconic attractions, the beautiful 400-year-old Japanese Bridge. Make sure your camera battery is fully charged for this trip! The unique brightly coloured buildings and historic atmosphere makes wander around this area - a real treat!
Finally, it'll be time for your guide take you to the airport for your flight on to your next destination. Vietnam is a unique cultural experience and hopefully, by the time you leave, you will have a new appreciation for this incredible country and it's people.
